I have recently discovered the website Pinterest, a place to catalog the things you love, and I love it. There are many visual bookmarking tools/sites around at the moment, as I discussed in a previous post on Zootool.
This time users are asked to pin an item they would like to post to the pinboard. Six columns of pins show lots of information on one screen at anytime, and continuous scrolling means the fun never stops. The types of pins can be filtered by one of the many categories listed in the top left hand corner. Users can like and comment on each pin.
For an account on Pinterest, you have to request an invite - which is probably the reason there is currently a high quality level of pins on the site. If and when this site opens up to everyone, it will be interesting to see if this high quality level of pins continues.
